Life Lessons

First, of all one of my favorite quotes that inspired me by the talented Cristiano Ronaldo “We don’t want to tell our dreams. We want to show them.”

When I wake up every day I feel motivated to better myself day by day and instead of telling people what I want to do with my life I rather show them.  This way I can live my life with no excuses just my achievements.

Second, a powerful quote by Albert Einstein “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving forward.”

We can’t just stop fighting, we have to stay on ours toes and find another way to reach our goals. Life is short and we have to take advantage of the time we have while living.

Third, one of the most important people in my life. My Grandfather always told me “I came to America to give your mother a better life and to better myself and she surpassed me and tried her all to give you a better life than she had so you can surpass her and give your future kids a better a life.”

At first I didn’t really understand the meaning of what my grandfather told me till I got older and bit more mature. In life we should always find a way to want the best for our family and do anything to make sure they have a better life. Family is key to your life.

Finally, some of the best advice by one of the greatest leaders England has had – Winston Churchill “Never never never give up.”

In life there’s no room to quite. You have to keep pushing every day you live this way at the end of the day you feel like your unstoppable and no obstacle is impossible to surpass.

Tuesdays with Morrie

Reading “Tuesdays with Morrie” by Mitch Albom is one of the best books I ever read. Reading about Morrie this old man who is diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and knowing he was one of the happiest people to be alive it’s probably one of the most inspirational story I ever read about. Morrie was Mitch Albom’s professor and after albom graduated from college and got his career started he comes back to visit his professor Morrie. Albom is a person who lost his brother and uncle and always strides to be the best at everything he does. When he first visits Morrie after years without seeing him Albom didn’t see the world as Morrie did. Morrie saw the world as plants and animals. With a little bit of love and caring you can grow up to be something beautiful like a rose, but we all have our finish line just like a rose when it gets old, rankly and dies. Morrie tries to make Albom see life as a onetime thing and it’s too short to take it for granted. Morrie wants Albom to realize death is a part of life and the sooner you accept that the better your life will be. Morrie tells Albom “The most important thing in life is to learn hotw to give out love, and to let it come in.” This is the general theme in the book. Love is the key to everything, without love you don’t necessarily have everything.

Life

Life is like a roller coaster it has many unexpected drops, twists and turns.  Life can be cruel, but also a beautiful thing if you learn to embrace it and enjoy every minute of it.  Some people don’t get to know the true meaning of living. One of my favorite quotes is “Everybody dies but not everyone lives.” –Drake I feel like this quotes says it all, we know we will die one day but we are so scared of the day when it happens that we forget to live. For others, when we know we are close to losing or lost someone special in our lives, we tend to close down especially if that person meant the world to you.  We all have the choice to accept that things happen for a reason and life is not going to stop or go back in time. Acceptance doesn’t mean forgetting. Acceptance means having the strength to learn from what life has thrown at you.  In my opinion “Acceptance” it’s a big key when it comes to living a great life. Just because you accepted something doesn’t mean you have lost and it’s the end of the world. Accepting that you lost important people in your life, sport games etc… doesn’t mean you will never amount to greatness. Many people become stronger in life because they know they are never alone someone on top will always be with you every step of the way and every decision you make.

Into the Wild

The book I have recently read is “Into the Wild” by Jon Krakauer and the publisher is Villard Books. Jon Krakauer is an American writer who mainly writes about outdoors and mountain climbing. He wrote other books similar to “Into the Wild,” like “Into Thin Air” and “Under the Banner of Heaven.” In the book “Into the Wild” it’s mainly about a young Man named Chris McCandless   a.k.a Alex Supertramp who ends up going to Alaska north of Mt. Mckinley. Before getting to Alaska he travels through many states like California, Arizona and Mexico. He meets people like Ronald Franz, Charlie and Jim Gallien on his voyage. All these people help Chris either with a job, supplies or a place to live. Krakauer’s message throughout the book is to get away from a corrupt society and go into nature where you can be free.
I really enjoyed reading this book because not only did it get me mad then sad and then I understood why Chris had to take this journey. I would highly recommend this book for people to read. By knowing who Chris was you have to know what he liked and who he looked up too. He would read books from Jack London and Tolstoy. Both authors wrote great books about nature. “He was also able to forgive, or overlook, the shortcomings of his literary heroes: Jack London was a notorious drunk; Tolstoy, despite his famous advocacy of celibacy, had been an enthusiastic sex adventure.” (Krakauer 122) This is what inspired Chris to take his trip to Alaska. Many thought his h=journey ended in a great tragedy but I think he fulfilled his dreams. He left his family not an easy thing to do and burned all his money, met great people on his voyage and died in nature a free man. “I HAVE HAD A HAPPY LIFE AND THANK THE LORD. GOODBYE AND MAY GOD BLESS ALL!” In his own hand writing he left a note before he passed away.  Because of what he did, soon people found out about it and they decide to make the bus he died in his memorial. They decided to make “Into the Wild” into a great movie casting Emile Hirsh as Chris McCandless which I thought they did an amazing job on. I feel after reading this book it made me appreciate the beauty of nature more and made me realize I need to live with no regrets and go out and explore the mysterious  world we live in.

My Successful Life

Spending time with my nephews is one of the best feelings in the world. Seeing them smile and grow up its one of the most important things in my life.

Soccer is more than a sport to me it's my life. Without it I think would be lost. Soccer brings me happiness, peace and the feeling most people don't get to experience when you score that winning goal and you don't just hear the crowd but feel them as if you are one.

My job has brought me a positive experience. I learned about the process of wine, fine dinning and how to sell wine. I learned more from my job then I could ever learn from a book.

My family and friends I couldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for them.

Food is very important in my life. It brings me and my dad closer together every time we cook something up. I'm even more great full of my dad of the things he has struggled to give me in this life.

This is the success of my life!

Alcohol

The product being sold here is alcohol. In the left advertisement they use sex appeal and the right advertisement uses more of a typical idea that if your buy Miller Lite it will be nice and cool since the bottle is in water. The target for these advertisements are generally men, because if they see two girls with a cherry in their mouth they will look and find the ad interesting. As well as if they see that the ad on the right says " Nectar of the guys" they will think its manly to buy that certain beer. These ads are also selling sexiness, flavor, fresh, natural and manliness.

The Beach

The ocean is the gem in the far distance
With it’s clear, blue waters
And the peaceful sky soaring above it
And the shimmering sand between your toes
As the cool breeze blows in your face like a fan on a hot day

The dancing green palm trees going with the flow of the wondering wind
The tall umbrella covering you from the raging rays of the sun
Feeling relaxed and happy being on the beautiful beach

Smelling the fresh air
Looking up at the soft clouds playing in the sky like a little kid at the park
With full of laughter and joy.
