The product being sold here is alcohol. In the left advertisement they use sex appeal and the right advertisement uses more of a typical idea that if your buy Miller Lite it will be nice and cool since the bottle is in water. The target for these advertisements are generally men, because if they see two girls with a cherry in their mouth they will look and find the ad interesting. As well as if they see that the ad on the right says " Nectar of the guys" they will think its manly to buy that certain beer. These ads are also selling sexiness, flavor, fresh, natural and manliness.
Great job differencing the two alcohol products and how they relate to their own consumers.
ReplyDeleteGood Job.

I like your ad because its true. nice way on noticing the differences and the way the ad is trying to approach the consumer. Great job homie!
ReplyDeleteVery well done. I think you chose very good adds for this. But in my opinion I think the Sky Vodkah is more advertising for women? I asume this because you don't normally tell guys "go natural." Good job still!
ReplyDeleteHmm, interesting contrast between the ads and interesting point that Luis made.
ReplyDeleteLooking at the ad on the right, I am wondering if you have a "print" (paper) copy of that one for my files. It is just full of so much to analyze that I'd like to use it next semester & such.
My opinion--both ads are targeting men. What I find similar is that they both use some aspect of fruit. Vodka ad is obvious w/ the cherry--but the beer ad uses the word "nectar" which references fruit, but is also a play on that expression "nectar of the gods."
Just so much to look at, think about and deconstruct in these ads that they spend millions to produce.
